Food Truck Frenzy Rolls Back Into Old Town Lenexa
Mark the calendar, Lenexa: the city's twice-a-year food truck bash is back, and the summer edition lands next Saturday, July 18, in Old Town Lenexa. Doors — or rather, service windows — open at 5 p.m. and keep rolling until 9, right at the intersection of Santa Fe Trail Drive and Pflumm Road.
This is a City of Lenexa production, so expect the full civic-event treatment: a packed lineup of trucks spanning just about every cuisine you can eat standing up, plus a live set from local band The Suburbans to soundtrack the evening.
Plan Your Evening
- Seating is BYO. The city keeps spots limited, so toss a folding chair in the trunk if you want to sit for dinner.
- Parking is spread out. Look for space along any public street nearby, or in the Lenexa Community Center lot.
- Four-legged friends stay home, with the exception of service animals for guests with disabilities.
Night owls, take note: once the trucks close up, Lenexa's Moonlight Bike Ride rolls out at 10 p.m. for anyone who wants to work off dinner under the stars.
Can't make July? The Frenzy returns to Lenexa's civic campus on Sept. 19, same 5 to 9 p.m. window, so there's a second shot at it if this Saturday doesn't work out.
